These pieces along with Anthony Newley's British Pop star gets drafted comedy, IDOL ON PARADE, and two very different films that are the work of the Ealing veteran Basil Dearden, VICTIM, where then matinee idol Dirk Bogarde put his career on the line to take the lid off homosexual London and a novel jazz version of OTHELLO, starring a certain Patrick McGoohan, as an Iagoesque drummer, a tough little film with rare musical contributions by Dave Brubeck, Charles Mingus and Johnny Dankworth.
